Library Extends Hours Starting February 4th!!
|
|
|
|
Frisco Public Library is pleased to announce that beginning February 4th, 2008 the library will be open an additional 14 hours per week to better serve you.
The Frisco Public Library will stay open two hours later Monday through Thursday, one hour later Friday and Saturday, and for the first time, open on Sundays. The new hours of operation are listed below:
Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. |

Friends of the Library Frisco Ornament Now on Sale!
The new 2007 Friends of the Frisco Public Library Collector Ornament is now available for sale! This year's ornament is a colorful reproduction of the first Frisco High School, built between 1935 and 1939. Check out the Friends webpage on this site or come to the Library to see this year's finely-detailed brass ornament. It can be purchased at the Library Borrow and Return desk on the first floor for $15. A limited number of 2005 and 2006 ornaments are also available.

New! Storytimes in-a-Box We're now circulating Storytimes in-a-Box for use by teachers, child caregivers, and homeschoolers. Each Box conveniently houses several books surrounding a central theme, and also features one or more of the following—a flannel board story, a puppet or plush animal, a finger play, a music CD, and a puzzle. Each Storytime in-a-Box will circulate for one week. Come to the 2nd Floor Ask Us Desk to check one out! |

Teens Upgrading from a small corner dedicated to young adults in the old library, teens will now find a spacious hangout all their own. The teen area is staffed with young adult librarians who have selected thousands of new fiction and non-fiction titles, as well as hundreds of DVDs and music CDs. The new teen area features:
Movie screening corner
Study area
Fourteen Internet stations
Oversized chairs
Leather couches
Computer Lab Is your computer down? Do you need to check your email or find something online? Visit our state-of-the art computer lab on the first floor. In our former facility, we had five Internet computers; our new facility boasts seventy-five! If you prefer to use your laptop, we now have wireless Internet access.
Cards and Accounts Checking out materials is easy, quick, and convenient with six Express Check computers. Express check is available on all floors, so checking out is not limited to only the first floor. |

Fourth Floor Adult Collections |
|
|
|
Adult Collections Frisco book lovers have two great reasons to visit the fourth floor. First, readers will discover thousands of new novels, biographies, and new non-fiction books that have more than doubled the library's existing collection. Second, the fourth floor provides readers with one of the most attractive library reading rooms in the state of Texas. The two-story vaulted ceiling features exposed wooden beams and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Frisco in three directions.
