Why do you like working in a library?
I like working in the library because I am surrounded by information, literature, great picture books and a creative people. I feel honored that I have the privilege of helping children and parents find new books as well as old favorites.

What’s your all-time favorite book?
It is hard to say which book is my all time favorite because I think books speak to you in different ways depending on where you are in your journey. Right now my favorite book is The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn.

What’s your favorite children’s book?
My favorite children’s books are anything by Ezra Jack Keats. I love his books because the art work stimulates my imagination. Keats' illustrations seem to tell a parallel story of an entire world all unto itself so rich with cultural texture and depth.

I adore any children’s book with animals as the main characters.  My all time favorites are The Brambly Hedge series by Jill Barklem, The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams, and The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter.  Other favorites are the Fun with Dick and Jane books, as they give me a special feeling of nostalgia, especially when Mike, Pam and Penny are introduced. I really relate to the mother in The Seven Silly Eaters by Mary Ann Hoberman, and the rhyme and rhythm is fun to read.

What’s your favorite YA book?
Are You There God, it’s Me Margaret by Judy Bloom, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, and I know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?
