FAAB VolunTEEN Program
Are you between the ages of 14-18?
Are you looking for ways to volunteer in your community?
Join the library's year-round Frisco Action & Advisory Board (FAAB) VolunTEEN Program. We have orientations for new members each month, and advisory meetings in which you can help us plan future teen programming and services. More information is available on the "Get Involved" page.

Provide a venue for teens, ages 12-18, to get together and enjoy anime-related events by participating in activities, hands-on crafts, and cultural interaction.

August 12 - Anime Charades
Can you impersonate L, Toushiro, or maybe Edward Elric? Show us what you got when we do charades, anime style.

September 16 - Miyazaki Night
Come join us for Hayao Miyazaki Night. Make new friends like Soot Sprites (remember those cute little black critters that ate stars) or Kodama's, or a wizard named Howl. Have your picture taken in front of our Green Screen and we'll give a digital art photo at the October Club Meeting. There will be a movie screening, and Miyazaki anime-related crafts. |

October 21 - Cosplay Contest
Get ready for Halloween! Come dressed as your favorite anime character and participate in our cosplay contest. There will be prizes for the best dressed! Stay around for a movie screening.
November 18 - Origami Night
Origami madness! Join us for a night of paper folding and creativity as we try our hands at 3D origami.
December 16 - Chibis 101
Learn how to draw those super-cute diminutive characters.

Music & Movie Screenings
Ages 12 - 18
Whenever!
Teens, it's your room, so you get to pick the music and the movies! Just bring the librarian a CD or DVD from the YA collection, and we'll play it for you on our stereo or show it on the big screen! (Note: In order to honor a movie request, a minimum of three teens must be present to make the request.) |
